作为一所住宿学院, 科罗拉多大学 strongly believes that life in our residence halls is a central part of the holistic learning experience that characterizes a liberal arts education. Generally, all students live on campus for the first three years of their enrollment at CC. Our students live in a diverse neighborhood of traditional residence halls, 历史性的豪宅, and modern apartments that offer a variety of housing options. 无障碍资源和住房办公室 & 住宅的经验 work together to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to the college's housing 资源. The 可访问性资源 staff is available to meet with students to talk about specific requests for housing accommodations (e.g., wheelchair accessible room, single room, access to a kitchen or single-use bathroom, visual alarm). We carefully consider each request for accommodation on a case-by-case basis.
科罗拉多大学 students requesting a disability-related housing accommodation, will need to complete the housing accommodation request process outlined below. 学生 who have received housing accommodations in the past must submit a new request each year to be reconsidered. 住房 accommodation requests submitted after published dates will still be considered. However, after these dates, requests may not be reviewed until after the 住房 & 住宅体验房的选择过程已经结束.
- Meet with an 可访问性资源 staff member by June 30 (Fall Start 学生) or November 1 (Winter Start 学生) to discuss housing accommodation requests
- Complete the 住房 Accommodation Request Form and submit documentation of disability by July 3 (Fall Start 学生) or November 10 (Winter Start 学生).
- 学生 who complete the process by the above timeline will be notified of a decision by July 10 (Fall Start 学生) or prior to winter break (Winter Start 学生) via CC email.
学生 who are not granted a disability-related housing accommodation or who choose not to accept an accommodation should complete the standard room selection process through the 房屋署 & 住宅的经验.
学生 who request and are approved for a housing accommodation after room assignments have already been completed may be placed on a waitlist until an appropriate room becomes available.
- Meet with an 可访问性资源 staff member by February 23 to discuss housing accommodation requests.
- Complete the 住房 Accommodation Request Form and submit documentation of disability by March 1.
- 学生 who complete the process by the above timeline will be notified of a decision by March 8 via CC email.
学生 who are not granted a disability-related housing accommodation or who choose not to accept an accommodation should complete the standard room selection process through the 房屋署 & 住宅的经验.
学生 who request and are approved for a housing accommodation after room assignments have already been completed may be placed on a waitlist until an appropriate room becomes available.
